Deco Distraction

First, a short update on Emma's health for you who have shown interest and concern:

sadly last week her belly became very swollen, and yesterday we went to the vet, who drained 

over a liter of fluids. We were hoping that this would make her feel more comfortable,

but instead she looks more miserable than ever. While I am stuck at home with a lot

of spare time, waiting for the inevitable, I have to say that my web activities are

a very welcome pastime. So here goes today's selection of eye candy.

I haven't been able to locate much info on V. Elizabeth Cadie, except that she illustrated children's books

during the 1920, and is best known for her stylized Art Deco illustrations for Volland.

I know, that's not much at all, so if any of my readers is able contribute more data, I'll be grateful.
In the meanwhile, you may enjoy her lovely, funny, elegant and very colorful creatures and patterns.
