Bollywood Party

This post was inspired by a sneak preview of Sanjay Patel's delightful illustrations of
Ganesha's Sweet Tooth for Chronicle Books, out next September, at the Bologna Book Fair.
The rich iconography, vibrant colors and spiritual exuberance of Indian art
have long been an inspiration for scores of Western artists.
And has there ever been a more endearing God than Ganesha?

For more designs from the era, you may take a tour here and there.
