Peter's Printed Paper Poodles

After admiring Peter Clark's richly textured three dimensional collages at Kickcan and Conkers a few months ago, I was glad to discover that Black Dog recently published a book of his artworks.

Clark is a long time collector of ephemera and his collages are beautifully assembled from old maps, stamps, buttons and other vintage objects that he finds visiting antique markets and secondhand stores with his wife, textile designer Karen Nicol. I love all of Peter's beasts, but as you can see I am especially fond of his colorful and often very funny dog portraits. Make sure to also check out his fantastic paper garments!
