Monsters & Riddles

This wildly inventive animated short was produced by the Armenian director

Robert Sahakyants in 1983. The story was inspired by The Talking Fish
a fairytale written by the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumayan

  1. Ah, I really liked that. I remember this fairytale, but didn't know it was by an Armenian poet. I used to read fairytales when I was a kid. I read all the books in my school's libraries. So many of them seem to be about doing good deeds and having compassion for people and animals which turns out to be a gift in return when least expected. Really great, Laura!

  2. Thanks Melissa, I always appreciate your comments!

  3. OMG! I could remember some imagery from childhood, but I couldn't remember the name. Thank you!
